With the upgrade to our mail server, customers
must now authenticate with Outgoing mail server when
sending email. What this means is if you are using
a third party mail client such as MS Office Outlook,
and it is configured with an email account Not from
Readytek.net, then SMTP Authentication must
be enabled OR you can configure the mail client using
the Outgoing mail server of the email accounts domain.
Please refer to the examples below.
In the picture below it shows MS Office 2003
Outlook configured with a mail account from the domain
"my_domain.com" but using the Outgoing server
of Readytek.net. This configuration no longer works
but you can now use the Outgoing server of your accounts'
domain.

Type in the name of the Outgoing mail server
and save the settings by clicking "Next"
then "Finish". The name of the outgoing
mail server will most generally start with "mail."
or "smtp." followed by the domain name (see
example). If neither of these names work please contact
the the company who is the Host of your domain to
get the correct setting for the Outgoing mail server.

If you have a valid Readytek.net email account,
you can still send mail using the smtp.readytek.net
Outgoing mail server, just click "More Settings"......then
select the tab "Outgoing Server" tab. Check
the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires
authentication", click the radio button next
to "Log on using" and type in your Readytek.net
User Name and Password. Click OK to save these settings.
